Questions

Is this a licence?

No. In Victoria you don’t need a licence to operate an excavator or skid steer, and working at heights and confined space aren’t licences either. You get a statement of attainment for each unit you pass, which is what employers and site inductions ask for.

Do I need experience?

No. The course starts from the basics. If you already do this work every day, ask about RPL instead.

Can my employer pay?

Yes. Choose “My employer” when you book and we email a Stripe invoice to your accounts team, payable by card or bank transfer. For four or more workers, ask about a group date.

What if I'm not yet competent at the end?

Your trainer tells you what to work on and arranges another assessment. Stark’s assessment and re-assessment rules are explained in your pre-training information.

Can I change my date?

Call 0469 338 334 as early as you can. Changes and refunds follow Stark’s refund policy.
